Benefits of Open Access Publishing

Greater Visibility

OA articles are indexed by more databases and discovered more easily via search engines, increasing the reach of your research.

Higher Citation Impact

Studies consistently show that freely available articles attract more citations than subscription-access articles in comparable journals.

Equitable Access

Researchers and practitioners in low-resource settings, particularly in Indonesia and developing countries, can access your work without institutional subscriptions.

Funder Compliance

Many national and international research funders now mandate open access publication. CC BY 4.0 satisfies the requirements of most major funding bodies.

Faster Dissemination

Open access removes access barriers that delay the adoption of research findings by practitioners, clinicians, and policymakers who need them most.

Public Benefit

Research in ethnomedicine and medical wellness has direct implications for public health policy. Open access maximizes the societal impact of your work.

Digital Preservation and Archiving

JEMEDWELL is committed to the long-term preservation of all published content. The journal utilizes the following archiving infrastructure to ensure perpetual access:

PKP Preservation Network
LOCKSS-based preservation through the Public Knowledge Project network
Crossref DOI
Persistent Digital Object Identifiers assigned to all published articles
