The Journal of Ethnomedicine and Medical Wellness (JEMEDWELL) is a fully open access journal. All published content is freely available to readers worldwide — no subscription, no paywall, no barriers to knowledge.
JEMEDWELL is compliant with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access: all articles are freely available for reading, downloading, copying, distributing, printing, searching, and linking without financial, legal, or technical barriers, provided proper attribution is given to the original authors.
Open Access (OA) refers to the practice of providing unrestricted online access to peer-reviewed scholarly research. JEMEDWELL adopts the Gold Open Access model, meaning articles are made freely available immediately upon publication on the journal's website. There is no embargo period.

Authors retain full copyright of their published work. By submitting to JEMEDWELL, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, and distribute the work.
JEMEDWELL does not require authors to transfer copyright as a condition of publication. Authors maintain their moral and economic rights to their work in accordance with applicable law.
JEMEDWELL does not charge authors any fees to submit, review, or publish their manuscripts. There are no submission fees, no review fees, and no article processing charges (APCs). Open access publishing at JEMEDWELL is fully funded by the publisher, Yayasan Sari Abadi Sentosa, to ensure equitable access for researchers regardless of institutional resources.
JEMEDWELL encourages authors to self-archive their work and supports posting preprints. The following permissions apply at each stage of the publication process:
